My favorite place in NYC. Seeing the old part of the library is wonderful; I'm not as partial to the new additional, but the exhibits are excellent, as is the gift shop.

Don't rush through it...

While you could spin through the exhibits in less than 1/2 hour, don't. Plan a leisurely 2 hours and have a meal in the excellent cafe (it's worth the slurge). The gift shop is one of the better...

Great library and oasis in the city

Gorgeous building and an amazing collection of books. Nice and quiet which made it easy to walk round without hordes of tourists. Recommended.
