Don't overlook the Whitney

Not as fdamous as MOMA The Guggenheim or the Met, nonetheless the Whitney is a must-see for gallery lovers in NY. Just remember it and most (not MOMA) museums are closed on Mondays

Call me unsophisticated

I'm sorry. Maybe it's just me, but I just didn't get this place. I am not impressed by a room with six canvases painted white - and that wasn't the strangest exhibit.

Small and Intimate

Interesting to view different artists. One actually moved her studio in the museum to work on her creation. Another was actually performing live. Take the free tour, so worth it!

be ready for contemporary art

we visited the biennial and it was a lovely experience. you can tour the museum in two hours or so. we especially enjoyed the room of embroidered art.
